Andrei Maximov General Director e-mail: am@ntt.ru        «I was born in 1957, graduated from The Moscow State University, Faculty of Economy, Ph.D. After graduation I started my work at The Institute of Oriental Studies of The Academy of Science of The USSR (now it’s called The Russian Academy of Science). I’m still working there as the head of foreign economic relations department. During my scientific career my 4 monographies on economy of Eastern countries (the Aravian monarchy, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea) and more than 150 articles were published in Soviet, Russian and foreign mass-media.       In 1991 I established my first company “East - Consult” which specialized in publishing and consulting. Publishing the monthly English Digest “Soviet Business Intelligence Bulletin” and consulting to cooperation and companies of South- Eastern Asian countries were the company’s main activities. The idea of new business appeared from this project. The series of Russian- English directories on political structure and economy branches appeared in 1995 under a new “Maximov Publication” brand. I’m married, have 3 children. Science 1979 I worked for The Ministry of Foreign Trade, specialized in Asian countries, especially Japan. I found this direction interesting so I accepted the offer to work in The Trade Representation of The USSR in Japan with a big pleasure. Since 1988 I worked in The Chamber of Trade and Industry of USSR and Russia. Occupied the post of the counselor of the first deputy minister of economy of Russia, and later the post of the counselor of Minister of Economics of Russia. I have more than forty academic publications published in Russia, Japan and Korea.        Since 1997 I work in “Maximov Publications”. Traveling is my hobby.
