HOW THE IDEA OF THE BIRTHDAY CALENDAR CAME ABOUT?

It was about ten years ago that one of Andrei Maximov’s friends, a representative of a large foreign oil company in Russia, complained that it takes his assistants a lot of time to find the birthday dates of his partners and colleagues in Russia. This short conversation gave an impetus to the creation of a new information product. It first appeared as Maximov’s corporate gift in the form of the 2000 New Year calendar. The calendar became very popular thus showing a clear commercial potential. Since then, the birthday calendars have been published yearly, and the number of their titles have been growing. For 2010, Maximov Publication will release three titles, including the 9th edition of “The Authorities and Business in Russia”, the 7th edition of “Communications and Information Technologies in Russia”, the 5th edition of “Fuel and Energy in Russia” and a few calendars on special orders.
